ABI’s Substance Abuse Policy

ABI requires drug/and or alcohol testing for all applicants for employment, post accident times, for reasonable suspicion and on a random basis.  Our policy is applied across the board and strictly adhered to.  Our policy is part of our overall Safety Program.

ABI requires each superintendent to undergo extensive safety training including a ten-hour OSHA class,  trenching and excavation class, scaffold and full protection and finally a CPR and first aid class.  Each class must be updated every two years to maintain ABI’s certification.

ABI’s on the job superintendent is the point man for job safety.  Weekly safety meetings are held in which safety precautions and OSHA regulations are stressed.  The onsite superintendent constantly monitor the job site for any safety violations and potential safety hazards.

ABI maintains a mod rate (EMR) of .77.
